Supported marketplaces and seller requirements

Before sellers can create a Promoted Listings campaign, they must authorise eBay, as well as accept the terms and conditions for the respective marketplace on which they want to create a Promoted Listings campaign.

The table below lists the supported marketplaces for each Promoted Listings campaign type, as well as the links to the terms and conditions for each marketplace:

How to sync PLG rate?

Navigate to “Account Settings” and locate the “eBay sync options” section. Make sure the “Update items quantities and content from the original item” toggle is enabled.

When “Update items quantities and content from the original item” is enabled, you will have the option to turn on the “Sync Up Promoted Listing General (PLG) Rate” toggle. By enabling this feature, eBaymag will synchronize PLG information from the original listing to international listings. To make any changes to the campaign, please update the information on the original listing site.

Important Note:

  • "Sync Up Promoted Listing General (PLG) Rate" is disabled by default.

  • If you have disabled the "Update items quantities and content from the original item" feature, the "Sync Up Promoted Listing General (PLG) Rate" toggle will also be disabled.

  • Changes to the campaign title on the original site will not be synchronized to international sites.

Here are some common questions that provide clarity on how certain features operate within the system.

1. Currently limited to Fixed Ad Rates PLG Campaign

We currently provide the ability to copy Fixed Ad Rates in PLG campaigns, enabling users to effortlessly replicate successful campaigns with a consistent ad rate structure. However, please note that campaigns using dynamic ad rates cannot be copied at this time. This limitation arises from the complex nature of dynamic ad rate calculations, which require specific configurations that aren't easily transferable. We are actively working to enhance this functionality and will share updates as they become available.

2. Modifying PLG Campaign Title

Modifying the title of a PLG campaign will not impact its performance. As previously mentioned, changes made to the campaign title on the original site will not be reflected on international listing sites. You can update titles on the original site to better align with your marketing strategies and management goals.

3. Campaign Type Transformation

When you create a rule-based campaign on the original site, it will be converted into an item-based campaign for international sites. This transformation ensures that each product is individually managed and tracked on these international platforms.

4. Potential Scenario for Rule-Based PLG Synchronization Failure

Converting a rule-based campaign to an item-based campaign on international sites depends on the number of listings involved. PLG synchronization may fail if, before synchronization, the international listing is part of another rule-based campaign on the international site with multiple listings. In this case, eBaymag cannot remove and reassign the listing to an item-based campaign, preventing successful synchronization. However, if the international listing is part of a rule-based campaign with only one item on the international site, eBaymag can easily end the campaign and move the listing to an item-based campaign.
